The World Needs More Floating Solar Panels ASAP

Covering 30% of the world’s reservoirs with floating solar panels could generate 9,434 terawatt hours of power annually, more than three times the energy production of the entire EU, according to a study published in the journal Nature. Floating solar not only provides a space-efficient solution to energy generation but also has the potential to prevent water loss from evaporation and save enough water to supply 300 million people per year.
