Retired & Wounded US Veterans Helping restore Coral Reefs
US Army veterans wounded in combat are finding healing and purpose in restoring Florida’s threatened coral reefs. The veterans work with the Mote Marine Laboratory and the Combat Wounded Veteran Challenge (CWVC) to restore coral reefs, which are endangered due to disease and rising sea temperatures. By planting coral and contributing to preserving the marine ecosystem, the veterans not only aid in conservation but also benefit from the therapeutic aspects of the project.
