Paris Olympics is Serious About Sustainability and Recycling
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games are embracing sustainability by using recycled plastic collected from local bins to create seating for spectators. This initiative is part of broader efforts to reduce the environmental impact of the Games, including cutting emissions in half compared to previous editions. Recycling company Lemon Tri and eco-construction firm Le Pavé have partnered to transform plastic waste into shredded chips, which are then used to create the seats. This approach not only promotes recycling but also reduces energy consumption and waste production.
