Britain Facing Bankruptcy in 100yr Because of Natural Disasters
According to a study by environmental monitoring firm KISTERS, Britain could face bankruptcy due to escalating costs related to natural disasters in 100 years, growing at around 11.2% yearly, driven by climate change intensifying weather events. With the UK’s current GDP growth at 4.1%, if the trend persists, the costs of natural disasters could surpass the government’s affordability by 2134, with flooding projected to be the costliest disaster, including £33.9 billion in the next decade alone.
